María discusses with Angelica how leading global teams can be challenging, working with tight timelines, managing budgets, and complex strategies for multiple clients. As a Product Localization Manager, Angelica shares her advice in this area.

Angelica shares how she has joined Babbel at an exciting time. Babbel announced it had sold more than one million subscriptions to U.S. consumers in the first half of 2022 alone. With 70% of Americans considering learning a new language, most citing travel as a key motivator, Babbel expects this growth will continue. The U.S. market has overtaken the home market of Germany as Babbel’s strongest market.

Before her role at Babbel, Angelica worked in localization at Vivid, a mobile banking app that combines all your daily money needs in one app. Whether it’s spending, saving, or investing – Vivid offers an easy, flexible, and transparent solution to grow your money. The company's mission is to provide its over 500,000 onboarded customers throughout Europe with superior banking and investment experience and to offer a wide range of financial services. Vivid was founded in 2019 in Berlin with an international, highly qualified team of over 200 employees. Angelica built a localization process from scratch and, together with the IT team and the expansion team, worked closely on automating processes and launching the app in multiple languages and localized content for the launch in primary and secondary markets.
